The Laidlaw Undergraduate Research and Leadership Scholarship Programme

- The Laidlaw Programme provides:
- Fully-funded six-week summer research opportunity under an experienced researcher or research team
- Fully-funded leadership training retreat
- Fully-funded six-week summer leadership-testing project in which scholars choose from a variety of testing options (ex. joining a charity expedition in a developing country)
- Membership in a global network of fellow Laidlaw Scholars
- Eligibility: Current first-year and sophomore Georgetown University students

Goldwater Scholarship

- Purpose
- To support college sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue careers in the national sciences, mathematics, or engineering
- To cover up to $7,500 a year to help cover costs associated with tuition, fees, books, and room and board
- Eligibility
- Sophomores, juniors
- U.S. citizens, U.S. national, or U.S. permanent resident

Beinecke Scholarship

- Open to juniors who are planning to continue their studies at the graduate level
- Students awarded the scholarship receive $4,000 upon completion of their undergraduate studies, and a $15,000 stipend for each of two years in graduate school for a total of $34,000
- Eligibility: Juniors on financial aid; U.S. citizens; students who plan to pursue a graduate degree in the arts, humanities, or social sciences

Gaither Junior Fellows Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace

- Purpose
- To offer 10-12 one-year fellowships to uniquely qualified graduating seniors and individuals who have graduated during the past academic year
- Winners are selected from pool of nominees from close to 400 participating colleges and work as research assistants to the endowment’s senior associates

McCall-MacBain Scholarship

- Purpose
- To support a diverse group of scholars who aspire to lead with purpose – individuals who have demonstrated leadership potential and an inner drive to make a positive impact in other people’s lives.
- To offer up to 30 full scholarships and 100 additional awards for master’s and professional studies at McGill University in Montreal.

- Eligibility – To be eligible to apply for our 2027 cohort, you will need to meet ONE of the following criteria:
- You are a current student on track to earn your first bachelor’s degree by August 2027
- You earned your first bachelor’s degree in the last five years (January 2021 or later)
- You earned your first bachelor’s degree more than five years ago, and were 30 years or younger on January 1, 2026
- You will also need to meet the minimum degree and language requirements for McGill master’s program admission.

Michel David-Weill Scholarship

- Purpose
- To cover the cost of tuition and living expenses during a two-year master’s program at Sciences Po in Paris, an international research university which specializes in the social sciences and offers multidisciplinary programs taught in English and French
- Eligibility – To qualify as a candidate you must:
- Be a US citizen currently enrolled as an undergraduate senior at an eligible Sciences Po partner institution. Dual European citizens are not eligible.
- Have a 3.7 or higher GPA and be aged19-25 without a doctoral degree
- Be accepted to an eligible Sciences Po master’s program
- Prior knowledge of French is not required, as the majority of programs offered at Sciences Po are taught in English, with French tracks or bilingual tracks offered for some programs.
- Candidates are selected on the basis of their academic accomplishments and capacity for critical analysis as well as demonstrated history of leadership and a proven commitment to community.
- Three letters of recommendation, of which two must be academic, are required.

Yenching Academy of Peking University

- The Yenching Academy offers a highly customizable Master’s program in China studies for English speakers with varied levels of Chinese language competency. At the core of the program lies its emphasis on interdisciplinarity and the value it assigns to thinking about China; past, present and future – from both Chinese and international perspectives.
- Eligibility:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any field, or be currently enrolled in a Bachelor degree program and be on track to graduate no later than August 31, 2027; Peking University does not allow students to be enrolled in other degree programs whilst studying at the university.;
- An outstanding academic record;
- Strong interest in interdisciplinary study of China;
- A record of extracurricular achievement, community engagement, social responsibility, and leadership potential;
- English proficiency.
- Note: Peking University will only accept recommendation letters written by full professors or associate professors (or equivalent titles)
