Immigrants Rising, a Bay Area-based organization that supports undocumented students, maintains lists of scholarships that don’t require proof of U.S. citizenship.
Post-Graduate Fellowships Not Requiring U.S. Citizenship
What: Oldest international scholarship program, established in 1902. Funds two years of graduate study at the University of Oxford with the potential for a third year.
When: Internal application due late April (*depends on constituency)
What: Connect with mentors and participate in an interdisciplinary leadership program while pursuing a fully funded master’s or professional degree at McGill University.
What: A highly customizable, funded Master’s program in China studies for English speakers with varied levels of Chinese language competency. At the core of the program lies its emphasis on interdisciplinary study.
Who: Seniors, Alumni, immigrant or the child of immigrants, all majors
What: Each Fellow receives up to $90,000 in financial support over two years for graduate study. They also join a lifelong community of New American Fellows.
What: Full-cost scholarships to outstanding applicants from countries outside the UK to pursue a postgraduate degree in any subject available at the University of Cambridge.
What: A multidisciplinary, multicultural graduate scholarship program. Each Knight-Hennessy scholar receives up to three years of financial support to pursue graduate studies at Stanford University.
What: A one-year, fully-funded master’s program at Tsinghua University in Beijing, designed to build a global community of future leaders who will strengthen understanding between China and the rest of the world.
